more about the house & the house hunt

as you know, i decided i wanted to buy a house to rehab it. i want a "green house" and i want it to meet my "needs". so patient larissa has been taking me around -- between random illnesses and trips -- to a bunch of kinda edgy/scary places.

many of them have had squatters. . . here is a small sampling of our adventures and misadventures.

this one, the listing agent said something like "make this ugly duckling a sleeping beauty"...

the door feel in when larissa unlocked it.
i could kinda see it might happen and tried to tell her to stop, but it was too late

there were random treasures to be found in many of the houses,
this was one of my fave
my other faves were the notes that said
"tommy, meet me at 6 to git your muney.
choco"

you can see that this has promise, but just a bit too much work for me

then i found this!

the steps definately need work
and it needs a paint job
all doable.

this is the view from the dining room into the kitchen
i love the exposed brick!

this is essentially me turning around from where that last photo was taken
and capturing from the kitchen to the front door
the floors are awesome!

the deck and back yard.
i am so stoked for my garden to be back there....
please bless this happens!

this is a skylight at the top of the stairs

the master bedroom
very little closet space, but i think i can make it work

from the master bedroom to the office
definately getting rid of that gross carpet
and will be fixing up those walls and base boards

anyway, more to come. the offer is being drawn up now. i am really really really hopeful.

¡por que, es el ano de esperanza!
