would you like a garden spot in dc?

The Washington Youth Garden at the National Arboretum has a wonderful program that makes garden plots available to families to grow their own food throughout the summer. This is a great way lower your grocery bill, get better tasting produce, and give you an excellent excuse to spend time outdoors. The Youth Garden has a committed staff on hand to teach you everything you need to know, as well as providing you with seeds and tools--and you get lessons in how to cook your produce as well. There's hardly a better deal anywhere in town.

This exceptional program has been in operation for years, but as incredible as it may sound, the start date for this year's program—originally scheduled for May 3, this Saturday—may be postponed because not enough families have signed up.

Plots are still available! If you have an interest in vegetable gardening, call today.
